Future Baristas was created to give local people practical skills, confidence and real experience in hospitality, right here at Grounded in Cringle Park. Participants learned barista skills, food safety and hygiene, customer service and teamwork, alongside getting hands-on experience in a working community café. The project was about much more than making a good coffee — it gave people a supportive place to learn, build confidence and take a step towards future training or employment. Future Baristas was funded by The National Lottery Community Fund through National Lottery Awards for All.
